way home
2019—2020

this series of performative self-portraits is a tale about the path one needs to follow in order to reunite with nature once again as its integral part. it depicts one who has left civilization — in a performative way — in order to go back to their natural, primordial habitat and spend a full cycle of seasons within it. in the cyclical structure of nature there is a reminder that everything is born and everything dies in the allotted time, and human is no exception: this awareness of oneself as part of a universal natural circle of life helps to find a fulcrum in the wide unsettling world.
